Empowering Future Leaders of Wyoming County
Leadership Wyoming is a prestigious 9-month program by the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce, dedicated to cultivating leadership skills and fostering community engagement. Participants delve into diverse sectors through expert-led sessions, including Agriculture, Government & Emergency Services, Economic Development, Education, Manufacturing, Natural Gas, Health & Wellness, and Heritage, Culture & Tourism.
Deepen Community Insight: Engage with local leaders and explore Wyoming County’s landscape through site tours and discussions.
Enhance Leadership Skills: Participate in activities that bolster public speaking, critical thinking, and team collaboration.
Expand Professional Network: Connect with peers and mentors committed to community advancement
Cultivate Informed Citizens: Nurture a diverse group of proactive, community-oriented leaders.
Stimulate Economic Growth: Encourage business reinvestment and awareness of local resources.
Foster Cultural Awareness: Highlight and preserve the rich heritage and culture of Wyoming County.
Attendance: Full participation is expected, with allowance for up to two excused absences in emergencies. Attendance at the two-day retreat and graduation is mandatory.
Tuition: $795 covers all materials, instructors, the opening retreat, lunches, and administrative costs. Tuition is non-refundable. Limited scholarships are available for non-profit organizations.
Eligibility: Open to individuals 18 years or older living or working in Wyoming County. Up to 15 participants are selected annually based on leadership abilities, community involvement, and commitment to Wyoming County’s future.
Application Process: Applications open in June. Selection is competitive, led by the Leadership Wyoming Committee. Ideal candidates demonstrate leadership, community engagement, and a desire to contribute positively to the region.
Class meets every 3rd Thursday of the month, starting in August and ending in June. Class of 2026 schedule TBD.
